A Winter Wonderland

Come and get in the holiday spirit as our singers sing, our dancers dance, our musicians play and our actors act. The performances start at 7 pm on Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Buy them in advance from the main office at Walkerville or get them at the door. There is no assigned seating. APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR

Applications to audition for next year's programme are available online and due into the WCCA Program Director by December 9, 2010. Please make sure to include a copy of your June report card, a teacher reference, and the application fee of $20. We will then schedule your audition for January 7 or 8, 2011 and we will contact you through your home school for the date and time.

OPEN HOUSE

If you are interested in being a student of the Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts in the future, come to our Open House on October 21st at 7 pm at Walkerville. You will see and hear some of our present student performers and be able to ask any questions you may have about our programme.

So You Think You've Got Talent

Habitat for Humanity and WCCA have teamed up to present a talent competition called "So You Think You've Got Talent.." Come and hear the finals on October 15th at Walkerville Auditorium at 7:30 pm and enter your vote for the one who has the most talent. Tickets are $10 and $5 and are available at the door.

Band Blast Off

All elementary band students are invited to join with our WCCA Concert Band on October 14th from 3:30 - 6:30 pm to learn more about their instruments from our WCCA students. There will be a free public performance of all musicians at 7:00 pm in our Walkerville Auditorium.

Arts Fair cancelled

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our Arts Fair for October 6th due to a lack of response from the exhibitors. Some of the universities and colleges will be coming to Walkerville individually to give presentations to interested students.

Welcome Back!

Let's get ready for another year of excellence in the Arts at WCCA. Our first three events are for everybody. We have an Arts Fair on October 6th to show our students what arts options are available to them after high school; on October 14th, we have Band Blast Off to introduce younger students to our instrumental music program; and on October 15th,we have a talent competition open to all types of performers ages 13 - 18 called "So You Think You've Got Talent...". Get your DVD and registration forms in by September 20th and check out the Events page on Facebook.

WCCA REUNION

Come and meet up with your old friends from WCCA as we celebrate 20 years of excellence in the arts. There will be an Open House on Saturday, May 15 from 12 - 4 pm and then an Alumni Showcase at 7 pm with a reception and art show following. Tickets for the concert are $10. WCCA Celebrates 20 years of Excellence

We are celebrating our 20th anniversary of WCCA this year. The program began in 1989/1990 so this year, 2009/2010, we will be holding special events for our alumni along with presenting our many regular performances throughout the year. A brochure has been printed to let the Windsor and Essex Community know about all our events for the year.

NEW APPLICANTS
There is an Open House on October 22 at 7 pm in the Walkerville Auditorium to find out about the program.
There will be an Audition Workshop on November 21 at 10 a.m. at Walkerville to discuss the expectations at our auditions.
The deadline for applications to be received at WCCA is December 10.
Auditions will be held January 27, 2010.
